Lal Bahadur Shastri has served the country wholeheartedly in his life and his journey will always remain in the hearts of the countrymen. He was born on October 2, 1904 in Ramnagar district of Mughalsarai district of Uttar Pradesh. His full name was 'Lal Bahadur Srivastava', who served the country with devotion and courage in his life. Lal Bahadur Shastri's family was poor, but his parents taught him to follow the footsteps of honesty and hard work. His father's name was Shri Mukundlal Srivastava and mother's name was Mrs. Ramdevi. Lal Bahadur Shastri started taking interest in studies from his young childhood and his hard work took him to the heights of education.

The first major change in his life occurred in 1921, when he joined the Non-Cooperation Movement. During this movement he turned his life towards Satyagraha and received huge support following the path shown by Gandhiji. After this, he joined the Indian National Congress and continued to inspire many people. Lal Bahadur Shastri made his role important in Satyagraha and freedom struggle and he made a name for himself among the people with his honesty. He became actively involved against the British Empire during the Indian independence struggle and spent time in jail many times with gurus teaching classical teachings. After independence, Lal Bahadur Shastri was elected as Sunderlal Patel and served as the Chief Minister of Punjab. Solved the problems there by becoming a leader. Under his management the economy of Punjab became stronger and people saw a sense of justice and equality.


Lal Bahadur Shastri was made the Prime Minister in 1952, when Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru resigned from his post as Prime Minister. As soon as he became Prime Minister, he began to confront the country's old problems and formed a government that took many steps to solve poverty, hunger, and other problems. It came after Lal Bahadur Shastri took oath as the Prime Minister when he said to the countrymen, "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan". This speech touched the hearts of the countrymen and they showed that their support was with the country's army and farmers. During the Indo-Pak war in 1965, Lal Bahadur Shastri, by his courage and strength, showed the world that India could ever face any difficulty for its freedom and security. Under his leadership, the army proved to the world that India is completely strong with its courage and to protect its freedom.

Lal Bahadur Shastri was very beloved among the people of the country because of his straightforwardness, honesty and right decisions in his working style. In his support, people saw that he was an ordinary person who had won their hearts by his deeds and who dedicated his entire life in the service of the country. Lal Bahadur Shastri died in 1966 in the hospital of Tajiganj, Varanasi. The name of Lal Bahadur Shastri will always live in the hearts of the countrymen, and he will always be remembered as a tribute to his contribution. His contribution was to keep the country strong, prosperous, and united, and he remained dedicated throughout his life to maintaining this.
